Kawthar Al-Sadat is the Community Engagement Coordinator at Teach For Qatar and a certified trainer by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) in the United Kingdom. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Arabic Studies from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar and is a 2021 graduate of Teach For Qatar’s Leadership Journey Program. Until the end of the 2023–2024 academic year, Kawthar worked as a Science Teacher for preparatory school students at Rufaidah Bint Ka’ab Preparatory School for Girls. In April 2024, she traveled with one of her students to New York to participate in the United Nations Economic and Social Forum.
For her Leadership Journey graduation project, Kawthar developed Gharas for Educational Values, a booklet designed to help teachers connect every preparatory science lesson with a meaningful educational value. The project received first place. In 2023, she also participated in the Innovators in Education initiative organized by the National Center for Educational Development at Qatar University, securing second place.
Kawthar brings extensive experience in training and development. She has designed and delivered a range of workshops for teachers within her school and beyond, in collaboration with Teach For Qatar and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. She also worked with Teach For Qatar’s training and support team to develop and facilitate workshops during the Summer Institute in 2022 and 2023. In addition, she also contributed to evaluating applicants for the Leadership Journey Program.
In 2024, Kawthar served as a co-led the Qatar 2024 Summer Camp, working with 280 students and further demonstrating her commitment to fostering learning and development. She strives to create training workshops that are both engaging and impactful, shaping participants’ skills, confidence, and future aspirations.
